The Camera Board for Raspberry Pi is connected via the CSI interface and expands your Raspberry Pi with a miniature camera. The camera module is ideal for HD videos and photography. Other possibilities are time-lapse or slow-motion recording - there are no limits to your imagination.
The camera has a fixed focal length and a Sony IMX219 sensor, which achieves a resolution of 8 megapixels. The module therefore offers stable image quality and high color fidelity thanks to lens shading correction. In dark scenes with high contrast, two different exposure times are combined to guarantee maximum image quality. The maximum resolution is 3280 x 2464 pixels. It is also possible to record videos with Full HD resolution at 30 fps.
